Electrical Inspection & Certificates in London
As qualified NICEIC engineers, Greenserve carry out electrical work that adheres to the strict British Standard BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations) and NICEIC regulations, allowing our customers to meet their legal obligations concerning electrical safety. We provide the full range of electrical inspections, reports and NICEIC certificates required for households, commercial properties and landlords.
Electrical Installation Certificate
The Electrical Installation Safety Certificate is issued with every electrical installation, rewiring or extension of the electrical circuits that we undertake. These electrical certificates are NICEIC approved and provide a proof of conformity of our work with the British Standard BS 7671.
Periodic Inspection and Testing
The Periodic Electrical Installation Condition Report (PIR) is issued after we carry out an electrical inspection of your electrics against the same BS 7671 electrical safety standards, which should be done at least once in 10 years for domestic properties. This periodic electrical inspection will check for the integrity and good functioning of earthing and bonding, fuse board and the whole wiring system, switches, sockets and lighting fittings. The Periodic Inspection Report will include the observed electrical damages or faults and the necessary remedial electrical work.
Portable appliance testing (PAT) is the electrical inspection that checks for the good functioning of all your portable appliances within the same standards of electrical safety as your wiring system and electrical fittings, but is not included in the PIR certificate. PAT testing is useful in order to prevent any electrical-related domestic accidents and even more important for landlords and businesses, which need to ensure all measures for health and safety are being put in place.
